Mode of Entry

Selective and Systemic in action. It is for both pre and targeted post emergence applications which belong to the Triazine group.

Mode of Action

Atrazine works by inhibiting photosynthesis by binding with the DI protein site at photosystem II. It also inhibits the enzymatic activity in the targeted weeds. Lack of photosynthesis results in the death of treated plants.

Method of Application

  • Apply as a uniform spray using a knapsack or power sprayer fitted with a flat-fan nozzle.
  • Mix the required quantity of ATRADHAN thoroughly in clean water before spraying.
  • Ensure even coverage of the field for uniform weed control.
  • Avoid spraying during windy conditions to prevent drift onto neighbouring crops or water bodies.

Time of Application

  • Pre-emergence: apply immediately after sowing/planting and before weed germination.
  • Post-emergence: apply when weeds are at the early growth stage (2–4 leaf stage) for best control.
  • Spray during calm weather, preferably in the early morning or late evening.
  • Avoid application before anticipated rainfall or heavy irrigation.
